Davide Girelli appointed new Chief Executive Officer
The new CEO will replace Claudio De Conto, who is leaving the post after a successful tenure and will remain on the Board to provide continuity.
Brescia, 11 June 2025 - The Board of Directors of Gnutti Carlo S.p.A., a leading Italian company worldwide leader in the development and production of components for automotive and industrial vehicles, has appointed Davide Girelli as new CEO. Girelli, who holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' and an MBA from the SAA - School of Management in Turin, boasts a long managerial experience in industrial companies - mainly in the automotive sector - gained in roles of increasing responsibility both in Italy and abroad. Among the positions he has held in recent years, we mention, within his experience at Borg Warner, those of President and General Manager of the Fuel Injection Systems Business Unit first, and then of the Morse Systems Business Unit. Most recently, he was President of Tenneco's Global Powertrain Division.
Girelli takes over from Claudio De Conto, who leaves the role of CEO after more than three years, during which he successfully initiated and completed a path of financial rebalancing and industrial consolidation of the company, despite a particularly complex macroeconomic, geopolitical and sector context.
Even though De Conto has chosen to embark on a new professional and life path, he will remain on the Board of Directors to ensure continuity and an effective transition to demonstrate its ongoing relationship with the company and its key shareholders.
